Network stakeholders

The network is for those involved with, or who have responsibility for, children and adolescents and those who are interested in the impact of psychological trauma, loss and other adversities as they affect young people.

Network stakeholders include all individuals and groups who are affected by, or can affect, the experiences children and adolescents may have in terms of psychological trauma, loss or grief. Stakeholders can be individuals, interest groups or organisations. [Adapted definition of Stakeholder, Glossary of Key Terms, World Bank Social Analysis Team, retrieved September 2008. World Bank, Washington, DC.]

Network stakeholders are interested in diverse issues related to the lives of children and potential child and adolescent trauma, loss and grief experiences.

A classification of the areas of practice where stakeholders address issues across the range of child and adolescent trauma, loss and grief experiences has not previously been defined.

The network aims to bring together stakeholders from different backgrounds and areas of practice to meet on the common issue of trauma, loss and grief experiences of children and adolescents and to work towards a common goal of better outcomes for children, adolescents and their families.

You can be involved with the network

The network aims to involve its stakeholders because they contribute to the functioning of the network, bringing new initiatives, ideas and experiences to make the network 'live'.

As well as aiming to facilitate general access to information, the website supports the sharing of resources, ideas and knowledge among those working with trauma, loss and grief. The network's usefulness depends on stakeholders' contributions of relevant and up-to-date material.

LiNKing with the network is free and you can tailor your involvement with the network depending on your need.

There are different options for linking to the network enabling you to choose how involved you want to be.

  • Anyone can visit the website to access quality, up-to-date knowledge and information about many aspects of child and adolescent trauma, loss and grief.
  • If you are a parent, other caregiver, young person or interested member of the community, you might consider linking to the network as a friend of the network.

  • If you are a professional, community worker, administrator, or an undergraduate/postgraduate student, you might consider linking to the network as a member.
